Heer, onze barmhartige God,
In deze dagen is alles anders.
We zijn thuis.
De wereld valt stil
maar in ons is het druk:
we horen en lezen het nieuws
we zijn vol zorgen
en hoe de toekomst zal zijn weten wij niet.
Maar wat we wél weten
is dat U vandaag ons licht bent
en morgen ook.
In de kerk klonk vandaag dat lied
en al zoveel eeuwen lang wordt het gezongen:
‘Mijn licht, mijn heil zijt Gij, mijn God en Here!’
Daarom bidden wij U vandaag:
Wees de troost voor allen die ziek zijn.
Wees de toevlucht voor wie moeten sterven.
Voor alle mensen in de zorg bidden we: licht ze bij!
Wees ook merkbaar aanwezig in onze huizen,
in uw bescherming zijn we veilig, altijd.
In Jezus’ Naam bidden wij,
Amen
